1,635,181 Diablo 3 Visitors in 2012

Thank you for being one of the 1,635,181 Diablo 3 players who visited this website in 2012. I hope that my work here has created a foundation of principles that enable you to be successful in Diablo 3's Real Money Auction House.

Looking forward to 2013, I am hopeful that PvP will resemble Hoard Mode in Gears of War or even DOTA style play. If you're not aware, Jay Wilson decided to scrap the long awaited PvP death match because it wasn't up to Blizzard's standards. I swear, they spend 1 month developing and years tweaking every game they write. It creates a lot of inflated expectations, but hey, apparently they are still a very successful company so it works for them! Maybe 2013 will be more about successful deliverables and less about potential updates to the game.

This year was a lot of fun, and I'd like to bring up several key events on this blog today.

1. Diablo 3 Gold Secrets

Despite being riddled with connection issues and server problems, Diablo 3 was a smashing success. 6 Million People bought and played Diablo 3 in the merry month of May, 2012. Over 500 Diablo 3 Gold Secrets Guides were sold during that month. There were a lot of copy cat products created, which unfortunately tarnished the reputation of this gold guide. One in particular had the exact same sales page as mine and simply omitted the 's' in gold secrets. This lead to some confusion for buyers on this website and a lot of unhappy customer emails to manage. Despite the hiccups, May was an exciting and successful month. Some 400,000 people viewed the blog in that month alone.

2. Markco's Epic Lecture

The Epic Selling Lecture was a pretty awesome magnet for traffic on the blog, and a lot of major websites picked it up. By far, the best lesson was how to double your money every 48 hours.

3. Why You're Not Selling Items

One thing the epic selling lecture taught me was that video lessons were extremely helpful to a wider array of people than text or even podcast guides. So I came up with another free lecture on why you're not selling items in Diablo 3. It was a tremendous success, and once more several major websites reported on the video. Even Diablo 3 Markets, which historically has criticized this website and attacked the "make money guides" aspect of it (ironically in a game where players try to make money), allowed the video to be featured and praised in their forums.

4. Legendary Selling Blueprint

I partnered up with Gimmic Gaming to create the Legendary Selling Blueprint for Diablo 3 Gold Secrets. It provided a fresh look at hundreds of different legendary markets that most players completely overlooked. Now even novices could pick out a few items from the Legendary Selling Blueprint and know exactly how to flip for real money.

5. Gimmic Gaming

The successful co-creation and purchase of the Legendary Selling Blueprint from Gimmic Gaming inspired the fledgling company to create the Ultimate Diablo 3 Class Guide. I was blown away by the easy to understand, yet in depth coverage of custom designed builds for every class in the game. There's so much detail in each video that I had to watch multiple times to get every tip out of them. I applaud Gimmic Gaming for creating a fresh look at how to build characters worthy of inferno for less than 200,000 gold. It's definitely worth the heavy price tag the new company is asking for their top notch guide.

  1. Thank you Markco for everything this year! So far it has been a pleasure working with you! I appreciate the opportunity you gave me and the Idea behind the legendary selling Blueprint! I'm very happy the guide was able to reach so many people and help those that chose to use it!
GimmicGaming is currently writing additional builds for each class. Additionally, this will come with a detailed gold guide as well!
