Patch 1.0.7 Quirky Changes and Strategies

One patch note from 1.0.7 seemed to imply ALL recipes will have a 400% drop rate increase. Obviously that would mean things like Cain's and Born's items/recipes will become less valuable after this patch. Be sure to sell off any you have immediately just to be safe!

I still believe that these recipes will be quite valuable, but expect a decrease of around 400% (demand remains the same, supply increases 400%).

With regards to Fiery Brimstones, I would pick them up now and sell off as we get closer to the patch being released. Once that patch goes live it may be too late to unload everything you've stockpiled fast enough. Also, be on the look out for legendaries constantly being priced too low that can salvage into Fiery Brimstones. As the price for Fiery Brimstone increases, legendaries will fall behind and become profitable to salvage.

Another interesting patch note talked about the creation of the new Marquise Gems (the new highest level of gems). You don't need any jeweler pages or tomes of secrets, just a fiery brimstone. So anyone who's thinking about stockpiling those tomes of secrets... stop right now as it is a waste of your time and gold. With regards to the new gem recipe, it's going to be worth ridiculous amounts of gold early on. See if you can't snipe it on the RMAH or GAH early on after the patch. The value will decrease as more and more people find the recipe, so be careful with this method after a few weeks.

With regards to the gold guide you're probably wondering what I'm working on for patch 1.0.7. The answer will shock you, because it's the complete opposite of what you would expect. No gems, no recipes, no Fiery Brimstones. I'm going back to bread and butter strategies that have remained relatively untapped since the existence of the game. That's right, new markets that no one has openly discussed yet. Guide owners can once again expect new videos and content very soon that will be exclusively for them!
